Scholastic Book orders went home on Friday. They are due 1/21. Info about online ordering was attached to the packet! Thanks in advance for your orders!

Spelling
We are back to our normal spelling routine next week with Lesson #13. We will pretest on Tuesday and assign the corresponding homework. The spelling challenge students will only have to pick two assignments from the list and all other spelling students will have a shortened assignment as well due to the 4 day week. The homework will be due on Friday and we will have the test that day also!
Reading
As we begin/continue our novel studies this week we will be targeting the reading strategy of questioning. As always, we will also continue to review and refine our work with the other strategies that we have already introduced, but will highlight questioning this week.

English: We will finish up our Friendly Letter unit with writing a friendly letter to someone. You child will come home with an envelope this week (probably Thursday). It will just need a stamp. We will mail our letters at the end of this week.

Science: This week we will learn about solids, liguids, and gases in chapter 11 lesson 2.

Social Studies
We will wrap up Chapter 3 with Culture Day on Thursday, 1/20. We look forward to learning more about our classmates!!

Math
We will take a mad minute in x11 this week. We will have a test on chapter 7: Statistics and Probability on Thursday 1/21.
