Classroom Chatter
Your child's MAPS scores will be sent home by me at the end of the week. Once you obtain your child's scores, there is a link on our District website. Click here to play games according to your child's score to help them improve. This link would make for a great ideas for summer practice.
Thank you to all of you that donated items to Book Worm Angels Drive. There were many books that were collected!!!
Spelling
L. 25's words are frequently misspelled words. There will be a pretest Monday. The test is Friday and homework will be due on Friday.
Reading
Save the Date for our Magic Show. It will be Monday, 5/14 at 1:00. Look for an invitation to come home this week! Vocab quiz on our magic words on Tuesday.
English
We will continue to work on our unit of capitalization and punctuation. This week we will focus on abbreviations, book titles and introductory words.
Social Studies
We will continue with our study of Egypt.
Science
We will study sound.
Math
We will finish up chapter 8 on fraction concepts. We will take a CYP on Wednesday. The test will be Friday 5/11. The next few weeks we will cover chapter 9: addition and subtraction of fractions. Then the remaining class time will be used to learn long division. Chapter 8 and 9 will be the last 2 tests we will take. There will not be a test on long division, just graded work (CYP's).
