Tuesday: p. 29-30
Wednesday: p. 31-32

Friday: Test

English
This week we will be doing an expository writing essay to learn how to write in paragraph form. Our papers will have an introduction, body, and conclusion. Each paragraph will be indented. Students should bring in 3 favorite things in a brown paper bag that represents them by Tuesday. Students will be using these items to help create ideas for their paper. Information about this will go home on Monday.

Reading
This week we will finish up with predictions. We will read a novel to continue our work on predicting. We also will be having a quiz, on Monday, over prefixes, suffixes, root words, compound words, words with same vowel sounds, and words with same beginning sounds. This word work is in a packet in the reading folders. A review packet for this word work came home last Thursday for homework. This packet is very similar to the format of Monday's quiz. We went over the answers to the packet on Friday.
