Classroom Chatter
Thank you to Payton, Sarah, Mackenzie, and Caroline. These students brought in yummy treats for our Japan Day last week.
Scholastic books orders for the month of January and February will come home Monday. They will also be available to order online starting Monday. The due date will be next Monday 1/21. I encourage everyone to order online if ordering at all. It helps me out greatly!
Spelling
L. 17 is this week's spelling lesson. This is a review unit of lessons 10-16. The practice test will go home on Monday to review the format of the test. Review rules and words from lessons 10-16/ The test is Friday.
English
We will continue with our study of adjectives this week. Students will learn how to use "a, and, & the" and comparison of adjectives.
Reading
We are finishing up Egypt this week. Students will continue reading Tut's Mummy Lost and Found and writing summaries.
Science
This week we will study to moon. Students will learn about the four phases of the moon and why we always see the same side of the moon.
Social Studies
We will begin another map skills unit for the next few weeks. This week we will learn about map symbols and scales.
Math
We will finish up chapter 4 by taking a checkpoint on Tuesday. The chapter 4 test is on Wednesday. Students will be taking a x9 mad minute this week.
